Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our protection dogs, training programs, and how to get started with Falcon K9 Protection.
Purchasing a Protection Dog
Our pricing begins at $10,000, reflecting the exceptional quality, pedigree, and training foundation of every dog we place. Each dog is carefully imported and evaluated, so the investment reflects real value — not markup. We work with clients to find the right dog for their budget and lifestyle.
We specialize in German Shepherds from elite European bloodlines, and we also place Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, and Czech working-line dogs. All breeds are selected for stable temperament, sound structure, and proven working ability.
Yes. Every dog we place comes with full health certification and documented pedigree. We require hip, elbow, and genetic health screenings on all breeding and working candidates. You receive complete documentation at the time of placement.
Absolutely. Many of our dogs are placed in family environments where they serve as both loving companions and capable protection dogs. We evaluate each family's lifestyle, living situation, and needs to match them with a dog that fits naturally into their home.
Yes. We serve clients worldwide and have placed dogs internationally as well as across all 50 states. We handle all logistics and ensure every dog travels safely and comfortably. Our team coordinates all required documentation for international placements.
After an initial consultation, we evaluate your goals, experience level, living situation, and the role you need the dog to fill. From there, we identify candidates that match your profile — whether that's a family companion, a titled sport prospect, or a fully trained executive protection dog. We do not place dogs without first understanding the client.
Dog Training Programs
We offer a full range of programs including Schutzhund/IGP training, basic and advanced obedience, board & train (weekly and monthly), private one-on-one sessions, puppy foundation training, and service dog training and certification. Programs are tailored to each dog and handler.
Schutzhund, now officially called IGP, is a competitive dog sport that evaluates tracking, obedience, and protection skills. It is one of the most demanding disciplines in working dog development and serves as the gold standard for evaluating a dog's temperament, drive, and trainability. We offer both beginner foundations and advanced titled dog development.
Your dog stays at our facility for a set period — either weekly or monthly — and trains multiple times per day in a structured, consistent environment. This intensive format accelerates development significantly. At the end of the program, we conduct a transfer session to transition the learned behaviors to you as the handler.
In-home training may be available in certain cases through prior consultation. Most of our sessions are conducted at our training facility where we can control the environment and ensure consistent results. Contact us to discuss what format works best for your situation.
We train dogs of all backgrounds — including dogs you already own. We evaluate your dog first to determine suitability for the program you are interested in. Some advanced programs, such as service dog certification, require a formal candidate evaluation before enrollment.
Yes. While the German Shepherd is our primary specialty, we also work with Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, and other working breeds. The key factors are temperament, drive, and trainability — not just the breed.
Service Dogs
Our service dog program covers task reliability training, advanced obedience, public access manners, handler training, and certification support. Every candidate undergoes a formal evaluation before enrollment to confirm they are suitable for the demands of service work.
We evaluate temperament, stress tolerance, environmental stability, and task aptitude. Service dog work is demanding, and placing an unsuitable dog sets both the dog and the handler up for failure. Our rigorous evaluation process ensures only the right candidates move forward — and that is what makes our service dogs reliable for life.
You can submit your dog for a candidate evaluation. If they pass, we proceed with training. If they do not qualify, we can help you identify a more suitable candidate. We prioritize your long-term success over a quick placement.
